Corporate America

Okay it is here, recession even though they do not like for us to say it the fact of it is it is all to true. The way things have been going has been happening for years and now that the prices of every and anything is higher than it should be and companies are laying of for the fact they claim they have to in order to continue their companies running. We all who have been working for a company ten years or more have been around long enough to see the good the bad and the ugly and this is by far the ugly. We know what the companies have done, and what they do to make their money, we are usually the ones helping them to make their money. We usually see what comes in and out and know what it takes to make this revenue. Now after having worked for these companies all these years we are being told they are in a recession and they need to cut back anyway they can and need are help to help them do this. I like many of my co-workers knew what was coming but we did not know to what extreme. Our hours have been cut back, the work force has been cut back and we are ask to do twice as much work as before at half the pay. We are not given any holiday pay and this pass Christmas all we received was a christmas card signed by people most of us did not know. It is really crazy and what makes it more upsetting is the managers seems to be getting rewarded for what they are not doing. The company I work for seem to think the managers deserve more for being just that a manager. I understand that managers usually take on more so they usually get paid more, but with our company the managers do nothing and do not know half of our jobs so if we are short they can not help and will not help because they no they can not. Managers were paid to be the back bone of the company but when you have a company that the managers are blood suckers instead of supporters, why is it that the company yoou work for choose to turn a blind eye to the employees who speak on this. The managers this pass holiday received bonuses and the crew leaders received gift cards and what made it bad they tried to hide it from the employees because I guess they thought we would get upset if we found out. If a company was scared about they employees finding out something they did then does not that say they were ashamed of what they did. To me personally they were making a statement and that statement was that the managers are more important than the employees, the ones that work a rotating 12hr shift, the ones that pure their sweat and heart into their work, the ones that have to deal with the irrate customers, the ones that have to actually make the decisions in the middile of the night wehen they managers are at home in their beds with their family. What is corporate America I really do not know, I never understood what was meant by that but I do know what is right and what is right is treating your employees with respect and getting that respect you are owed back.
