Are we as Americans becoming as stupid as we appear or are we just refusing to open our eyes to what is happening around us.

Education or Undereducation
I am continuing my education and I have found myself at a point where the money is running dry so I am looking for grants and scholarships to help me to finish. I have been going to school which seems like an eternity and it was not my attention to do so but I kept running into money situations so I would have to prolong my education. I have an Associates and some people tell me that is good enough, but I want at least my Bachelors, as Bachelor I feel will be stronger than an Associates especially since I can not seem to get anywhere with an Associates. I get the reply by good going and great job but no one will hire me in a Business environment or leadership position. It seems to be that "Bachelors" they are looking for to even do a internship. I have tried joining Associates program with my current employer and I get no answer when I say I a working toward a Bachelors. It is like not seeing a Bachelors means I did nothing towards education in obtaining an Associates, and Associates required just as much effort to go to school to obtain this degree, so why no respect. I feel as if I just have an high school diploma. One of the reason a teacher told me that employers look for college graduates is because they feel that they had to work hard at getting their degree and feel these graduates will put this same effort if they employ them. This seems not to be the case in my situation, I guess they see Associate and say why did she not continue to Bachelors, is that a sign of laziness or her non effort to push on.The more I think about I guess they could be right, if I notice someone stopped at Associate it would make me wonder as well, did she get pregnant and stop, could she not handle the classes or did she just find college hard to handle all together. Would most company hire someone who just has an Associate degree and trying to work on their Bachelors degree or would they only consider a Bachelor degree as the sign of really getting that college education. Well one thing I know as long as I have been going to college, I have more credit than any Bachelor's degree and maybe Master degree. Well I will continue on and try to find some scholarships and grants that will help me accomplish this. Wish me luck and too those who is in the same situation, I wish you luck and I am sure we will get that Bachelors, rather in our twenties or sixties.
